As many of our clients rely upon us for apostille/legalization-related services, we felt we should make you aware of an important change in the way the US Department of State will be processing this type of work starting Monday, September 17th, 2012.
Effective Monday, all documents being processed through the US Department of State will now automatically add approximately four to five business days to standard order turnaround times. This will, in most cases, significantly increase the turnaround time you may have experienced in the past. Essentially, what this boils down to is that the State Department will now add a mandatory three business day processing time and restrict hours of submission to 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. EST Monday through Friday—so that even if using overnight shipping, this portion of the process may exceed five business days.

We know this may cause difficulties, especially with rush orders, and we hope that this advance notification may help you plan accordingly and avoid issues with time-sensitive orders. Please feel free to email us with apostille or legalization questions at email@example.com at any time. We look forward to assisting you with your next certification project.
