Kentucky :: Deadline to File Annual Reports Passes

KentuckyA few months back we blogged about the July 1, 2013 annual report due date for entities authorized to transact business in Kentucky. According to a recent press release issued by the Kentucky Secretary of State, more than 156,500 businesses met that deadline. That said, an estimated 41,000 businesses have yet to file their reports and are no longer in good standing with the state.

Businesses that have failed to meet the deadline should receive (via mail) a 60-day notice from the Secretary of State’s office. Failure to comply with the notice will result in administrative dissolution of the business entity or revocation of authority to do business in Kentucky. Furthermore, those business that continue to conducting business after administrative dissolution may face in civil penalties.
