Nevada: Bill Ends the Business License Exemption for Film Companies

Nevada Assembly Bill 6effective July 1, 2017—removed the business license exemption for film companies within the state, which had been in state law for more than a decade. Previously, if the primary purpose of an entity was to create or produce motion pictures in Nevada, you were entitled to a 005 exception. Now, these entities are required to obtain a state business registration and pay an annual fee. To read the bill, go here. For additional information, contact our Nevada office at 888.972.7273.
